Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
I am trainer, speaker, strategist, consultant, volunteer, event planner, and business professor.
Primarily, I work as the Training Manager at Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply where I manage the training activities and events for over 1300 retail and office employees, spread over 33 locations, in a 5-state region. I also serve as the Chairperson for Mid-States Distributing’s Training & Development advisory board. Every other year, I teach the Non-profit Business Administration course for Montana Bible College.
No matter where you’re from or what you do, one person training another happens in all places and walks of life. Whether you’re a parent training your kid how to mow the lawn, a manager teaching an employee a new task, or a corporate executive wondering how to make your entire training program more effective, I can help! I will make that process understandable, practical, and effective. Check out my Thursday blog posts. I will tell you stories, and use illustrations to help you understand effective training, and avoid making some of the mistakes I have made!
Come along for the ride! Effective training IS the road less traveled, but it doesn’t have to be. Join me on Thursdays, follow me on Twitter, and subscribe to my blog for regular updates. And feel free to reach out to me if you have questions. I’m here to help you!
Philosopher Will Durant, who was expounding on Aristotle’s works, said: “Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” Excellence is achievable by anyone with good training and good habits. This blog is about providing that training.
